Sept 30th-Oct 8th - Friends & Modeling!

On Monday I hung out with my friends David, Jarrett, Alics and her puppy Teddy at Spoon by H! My friend Erica happen to come there too but I had to leave to pick up Mike from the airport. He had a great time with his friends for Nick's bachelor party. The next morning we got shaved ice at Spoon and then I went to a go-see for Hale Bob.

At night a group of us went to RivaBella for my friend Lindsay's birthday and it was really nice. Happy Birthday Lindsay! :) Then we all went out for a little bit to Bootsy Bellows and hung out with news friends Taja and Brandon. 

We left around one and the valet had already closed, I guess it was just for the restaurant. We thought we were okay because Tony drove us to the apartment but when we got there we realized the keys to get in were on the same keychain! I ended up sliding through an open window, lucky thing! The next morning I walked to get the car and I saw Stacey Dash from Clueless in the garage. Later I went to a go-see for a John Frieda commercial. At night Mike had a meeting on the Third Street Promenade and I saw the American flag made of out shoes which was neat. 

On Thursday I got to model for Modnique.com doing Kaktus clothing and different stockings!

At night I went to dinner with some new Ford models at El Coyote which was really nice! After I went to Saddle Ranch with Mike, Tony and Jeff where we made s'mores outside, it was so fun! 

The next morning Mike flew home to Rochester, New York and I had a go-see for Marigot pajamas. Saturday was our friends Nick and Christine's wedding that Mike went to and I wish I could have gone but congratulations you two!! During the day I met up with my friend Julie who is an actress and just moved to LA!  We went to Chop Stop and it was so nice sitting outside and catching up! That night my phone stopped working along everyone who had the beta version of the iOS7. At night I went to dinner with Lindsay and then got my phone fixed the next morning. 

On Sunday I went to stay with my friend Erica and she made delicious sweet potatoes with broccoli and cheese!  The next day I worked for Tacori which was really nice. It was me, Katja, Vanessa and Asia working together where we did runway and presentation of Tacori's new fashion jewelry line. The event was on top of the Montage Beverly Hills and while we were eating we saw Judge Judy. We had a fun time and there was a beautiful view!

Afterwards I hung out with my friends Alics, David, Cindy, Jay and Julie at Spoon by H for a little going away party since I was going back home soon. 

The next day we did the same thing for Tacori and we saw T.I. there and then at night me, Katja, Vanessa and another model went to the Club Tacori 2013 Gala at the Greystone Manor. We took pictures with guests on the red carpet and then went inside for the event. 

Guests included Francesca Fisher-Eastwood, Danielle Fishel (Topanga), Kathy Hilton, Catt Sadler, Adrianna Costa, Christina Hendricks and Tamera Mowry. It was cool meeting Tamera because I grew up watching her on Sister, Sister and she was very poised and nice. The entertainment for the night was amazing including a jazz band, an aerial silk performer and acrobats. 

I had a great time working with Tacori and then when I got back I packed to go home!

Sept 23rd-Sept 29th - Mom Visits LA!

On Monday Mike and I ate brunch at Toast and then I went to a go-see for Miilla. After we had meetings to view different apartment buildings because Mike will need to be in LA a lot for work. While we were walking in Hollywood I saw this on the sidewalk and loved it!

Later we ate dinner at the apartment and then went to the Sunset Marquis for dessert which was really nice! 

The next day I had a go-see for Language Clothing and then Mike got an amazing pair of shoes to wear to his sister's wedding and to have in the future, I love them! Afterwards we picked up my friend Lindsay and went to Beverly Hills so she could look for a purse. We went into a lot of stores and ate dinner at Villa Blanca. It was fun to walk around together and look at some beautiful pieces. Lindsay picked out a Gucci purse which my friend Ritz and her husband were so generous in giving her a deal, thank you again!  

On Wednesday I worked for Modnique modeling GF Ferre clothing! There was another Ford model named Rachel working there too and we went to lunch together which was nice! That night Mike and I had a date night where we went bowling in Hollywood. Mike won by one point but I was so excited that I got three strikes in a row!

After we went to dinner at 25 Degrees in the Roosevelt hotel and had a good time! At night I saw the Dolce & Gabana shoot I did for Modnique was posted online along with a cute video of the stylist Ashley talking about the outfits!

Thursday was my cousin Virginia's birthday, Happy Birthday love you! In the morning I went to a go-see for Jiffy Shirts and then picked my Mom up from the airport!! She had to come to California for work and I was so happy that she could visit me! After checking into the hotel we got Mike and went to eat at Mo's in Burbank which was nice and then we showed her Warner Bros.

Then we went to go see the Hollywood sign! There was a beautiful view and we could see the reservoir so I brought them there and we walked on the bridge. 

We dropped Mike off and then we went to Hollywood and walked around the Chinese Theatre and the shopping center.

My Mom went to bed and I met up with Mike, Tony and his Dad at the Sunset Marquis hotel. There is a famous recording studio there that we wanted Tony's Dad to see so a studio manager took us around. On Friday I brought my Mom to the agency to meet my bookers which was nice! She came with me to a go-see for Just Fab and then we went to Venice Beach. We ate at a restaurant outside on the boardwalk by the beach!

After food, music and relaxing we rented bicycles to ride along the bike trail! It was so beautiful out and we had a lot of fun!

Later we brought Mike to the airport because he was going to Las Vegas for our friend Nick's bachelor party! Then my Mom and I went to the Third Street Promenade and walked on the Santa Monica Pier!

That was nice and when we were leaving we saw people setting up for Glow Santa Monica which looked cool. Saturday morning my Mom and I ate breakfast at kitchen24 and then we picked up my friend Lindsay and went to The Getty museum! We looked at the art in a couple of the buildings and then we ate at a really nice restaurant there and enjoyed the beautiful view! 

Then we walked around outside and went through the elaborate garden! 

After we looked at more art and got to see Irises by Vincent van Gogh.

Irises was beautiful but some of my other favorite pieces were by Claude Monet. I really loved Sunrise that he painted in 1873. 

We brought Lindsay home and my Mom and I went to The Grove to look around and then went to Cafe Med on Sunset Boulevard for dinner. Sunday was my Mom's last day visiting before she had meetings for work. We got up early and went hiking at Runyon Canyon which was nice!

Then we ate lunch outside at Urth Caffe which was busy but good. Afterwards I drove my Mom to San Diego where she was going to be working but we had time to relax in the hot tub and lay out by the pool! I didn't want my Mom to leave but it was so nice spending time together in California. I'm glad you had a great trip, I love you Mom!

Sept 11th-Sept 22nd - Test Shoot & Paramount Studios!

September 11th was twelve years since the horrific attacks were made on the United States. Still, we stand united and will never forget those who lost their lives. During the day my friend Erica and I ate berry waffles at Spoon by H mmm! Then we walked down Melrose and looked in a bunch of shops.

Afterwards I picked Mike up from a studio in the hills where him and Tony were working with The Sledge Grits Band. The next day they worked together again and I wound up staying for the session. It was fun hanging out with the girls and listening to Mimi record!

Then I found out it was my friend Yoon's birthday who owns Spoon by H so we stopped by to give her a card. We ordered the berry waffle and she spelled our names in the chocolate which was so sweet! Hope you had a great day Yoon! 

On Friday I had a fun modeling clothing lines Tata Jolie and Glamour for Modnique.com! 

Afterwards Mike and I got some snacks at Olive & Thyme and then he had to go to a session. The next day I drove to Yucaipa, California to do a test shoot with photographer Alexandria Bailey and makeup artist Chelsea Conklin! We shot outside and it was over 100 degrees but they were a talented team and we got some great photos!

After the shoot I drove back and stopped at Spoon for a smoothie and then met up with Mike, Tony, Sylvie and Margo. They were in line at a place where people were watching the Mayweather fight but it was so crowded we decided to go somewhere else for dinner. 

We ate at a Mexican restaurant that had an indoor patio where people could brings their dogs and it was nice. After we ran into our friend Josh and he came with Mike, the girls and I to Hollywood & Highland shopping center. We were going to bowl but it was closed so we walked around and talked which was fun!

The next day Mike and I drove to Newport Beach where Sylvie lives and we went to dinner in Laguna. We got some sweets from a place we had been before called the Chocolate Soldier and then we had amazing food at Sapphire!

Over the next couple of days we saw my friends Alics and David with her puppy Teddy at Spoon and worked out at LA Fitness. On Wednesday I had a casting for Skechers and Shopsky.com and then my friend Lindsay and I went to eat at Marmalade Cafe which was good! Mike was working at Paramount Recording Studios so I went and hung out there for the rest of the night. 

The next morning I drove my friend Mikayla to her job and we caught up on each other's lives. Then I went to Paramount where the guys were working again and Wiz Khalifa was there too. Friday I stopped into the agency to scan some tear sheets for my portfolio and then went to Spoon and the studio again. That weekend Lindsay and I went hiking at Runyon Canyon which is always a nice workout!

Then Lindsay told me about this cute Japanese restaurant called Yuko Kitchen where they have really good combination plates so we went there and I loved it!

At night I went to the studio where Mike and Tony were working and I got to hear them record vocals for another amazing song! 

Sept 1st-Sept 10th - Pierced Ears & LA!

Sunday morning we headed to Buffalo for our friends Kay and Kristen's wedding! We checked in the hotel and visited with friends and then went to the church and watched the beautiful ceremony. Congratulations Kay and Kristen we are so happy for you! After we went to the reception which was really fun and the venue was absolutely beautiful!

We stayed at the hotel with everyone and the next morning Mike and I got bagels from Mahattan Bagel which was the best we've ever had. When I got home Sarah came over and my parents and I gave her birthday presents! 

The next couple of days I hung out with Cookie Dough, went to Turning Point Park and then celebrated Rosh Hashanah at Mike's house. His immediate family, Aunt, Uncle and Grandpa came over and we had a delicious meal! On Thursday Mike's family and I went for a walk through Mendon Ponds Park and talked about things that needed to get done for Alex's wedding. Later Mike, some friends, my Dad and I went to a Red Wings baseball game together which was cool. 

On Friday Mike, my parents and I went to Dorje Adornments and I got my ears pierced for the first time! I never liked the thought of having holes in my ears but I knew with modeling and pageantry that it would be beneficial. Thank you all for coming with me and holding my hand haha

The next day Mike and I flew to LA for work. We went to Spoon by H and said hi to some of our friends. Monday I had a go-see for Johnny Was and later for Lisette and there I saw my friend Lindsay! She came with me and we met up with Mike and Tony at Vintage King music store and then her and I went to the Farmers Market which was nice. 

At night Mike and Tony had a session with a girl group and I went to the studio with them. From the outside it didn't look like much but the inside was amazing. 

On Tuesday I worked for Modnique.com who I love working for and I modeled Bencivenga clothing. I had a go-see scheduled for Joanna August but I stayed later at Modnique which was fine with me :)
